Apologies for not posting this yesterday, but I was having problems rasterizing the vector files on these illustrations! I finally managed to bypass the problems this morning by saving the AI files as PDFs, then rasterizing them in Photoshop. For my October 12th illustration, I actually made a series: Vintage Art Deco/Art Nouveau styled postcard templates.

For today’s illustration I was in a bit of a bind: I had some ideas of what to draw, but it was such a busy day and all of my ideas were too complicated to tackle. So for the first time I decided to experiment with a random word generator. I found one on Desiquintans.com. Here were the nouns I ended up with after a few tries:

1.    Care
2.    Friday
3.    Impulse
4.    Maraca
5.    Mitten

I chose lucky #4, the maracas. I’m pretty pleased with how they turned out! I might even do a series of percussion instruments in the same style someday.

For today’s illustration I drew a food processor, because I just used mine the other day to make soup. Since it’s getting chilly outside I highly recommend this amazing cauliflower cheddar soup, I made 3 batches and froze it, it’s delicious!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! For today’s illustration, I tackled road signs, which is something I’ve been meaning to put up for years now but never got around to. Since we have tons of North American signs already I went with 4 sets of road signs from Germany.

Today I made 3 ‘Made In’ clothing tags for China, Canada and the USA. I might do more if they sell, we’ll have to wait and see!
